XPLM PDM/PLM

investing in a PDM/PLM system quickly pays off

We offer custom, intelligent integration for almost every authoring and corporate system involved in your product development process. Connectors are preconfigured to easily conduct an initial test, for example, via a sandbox. The integrations are designed to achieve the highest level of automation.

Your strategy and your corporate goals determine the type of data management system you will need. Would you like to transparently manage the construction data of a development domain, then we connect your CAD application with the PDM system of your choice.

If you are considering a more agile innovation, however, interdisciplinary networking of the entire research and development department is what makes sense. To that end, we interlink your entire engineering landscape centrally to create a consistent PLM world. That enables you to manage all product data generated using CAD, simulation and ALM tools in a completely transparent manner, and to connect the respectively versions in the data model. On-premise and in the cloud.

The fact that users always design their entire data management from their familiar working environment increases system acceptance. Another advantage is the clear, intuitive user interface of our integration solutions. Your users will find their way around within a few hours. We define the PLM data model to suit your requirements, along with the various engineering and business processes within your company-wide value chain.

Target and result-oriented multi-CAD product lifecycle management

Each of your development areas works differently. It’s not just that they use different tools: they think differently about their products and manage data with a different logic.

We know how it is. And that’s exactly why our integrations work differently. They optimally support your developers’ processes by storing their data securely in the right place and linking them logically to one another. Integrations do not allow existing data to be overwritten; rather, they automatically version the data, convert native CAD data and generate information for downstream processes, including parts lists.

Search functions accelerate the process of finding your data. In turn, this boosts the reuse of components, assemblies or entire products that have already been designed. Duplicates will no longer unnecessarily grow your database.

Better material management through CAD and PLM integration

You design the electronic, partly automated exchange of information between your design  and purchasing departments using shared item master data and parts lists.

Components identify the integrations via their unique ID and synchronise the item master data in PLM with the component library of the CAD system. In both databases, different attributes, parameters and information define the same item. Developers are interested in data such as value, tolerance, type number, performance and dimensions, whereas purchasing clerks need the supplier, packaging unit, price, availability and delivery time.

If the purchasing department receives a parts list for an order or project, it decides which items to buy and which to source from the warehouse. In the case of parts lists of different versions, the integration recognizes the differences between the CAD and PLM systems. Purchasing controls the use of obsolete or discontinued components in development via the item status.

Integrated at an early stage, production will start promptly as planned

Once the development has reached a certain level of maturity, it can simply integrate production, including external partners. Triggered by the storage of a new project version, the CAD-PLM integration generate documentation and parts lists as required and transfer them directly to the ERP system.
