Creo Modelcheck
PTC Creo ModelCHECK is a free application that works within PTC Creo Parametric to analyze parts, drawings & assemblies for compliance with Company Design Standards, ensure proper modeling techniques and promote the use of standard design practices. ModelCHECK can be customized to run on a configurable set of company drawing standards, and can be applied interactively by a user, or can run unobtrusively within the flow of work of a user. Any errors are immediately presented to the user for correction. This ensures that proper modeling standards & practices can be enforced right at the source during design creation.
ModelCHECK can also be run unassisted in Batch mode to automatically correct a predefined set of standards and issues in a bulk set of files, without requiring user interaction (for example where engineering IP is obtained (through M&A for example) and the incoming data needs to be modified to apply to new company standard). Since it’s a PTC Creo Application, it can run with or without PTC Windchill.
Additionally ModelCHECK Gatekeeper is a PTC Windchill capability that uses Creo ModelCHECK results to allow or prevent the check in of models that fail to meet predefined design standards. This means you can enforce proper design practices at the source, and flag any issues at the source to be corrected, before they proliferate through the rest of the organization. More than 80% of the uses of a CAD file happen after its designed (Manufacturing, Purchasing, Procurement, Marketing etc). ModelCHECK flags for any modeling issues and errors before they proliferate through the rest of the organization.
